Mozart's final collaboration with Lorenzo da Ponte, Così Fan Tutte, or The School for Lovers, as da Ponte preferred to call it, begins with the richest of comic setups – two friends make a bet over drinks. We follow their love interests, two sisters, as the two friends pretend to be called off to war, but sneak back in disguise, each to woo the other’s fiancée in a farcical test of fidelity. Follow Pensacola Opera into this lover’s maze in a new production conceived by Timothy Kennedy with costumes designed by Glenn Avery Breed. Join us as we begin the next 25 years with the opera that started it all for Pensacola Opera in the intimate environment of the Mainstage Theatre on the campus of the University of West Florida.
