Opera in Schools
Bringing the magic of music directly to students
Each year, Pensacola Opera’s Jan Miller Studio Artists visit elementary, middle, and high schools throughout five counties in Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama. We are proud to present this free tour of educational opera performances through the generous support of our corporate and individual donors. See below for a detailed description of the programs we are offering during our current season.
Education Tour
From September through March, our Studio Artists travel all over Northwest Florida to bring a children’s opera production to area public and private schools throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. In addition to being in the schools, we also partner with Northwest Florida Public Libraries to bring this production to various branches throughout the year. These performances are free and open to the public. Through our education tour alone, we reach over 8,000 students and families.
