This season, mezzo-soprano Megan Marino returns to the Santa Fe Opera as Annina in Der Rosenkavalier, Houston Grand Opera to debut as Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music, The Atlanta Opera to debut Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Opera Delaware & Opera Baltimore to debut Maddalena in Rigoletto. She will also debut with Music of Remembrance in a new piece by Jake Heggie & Gene Scheer.
Last season, Meg returned to the Metropolitan Opera as Flora in La Traviata and Second Lady (debut) in The Magic Flute (holiday version). She also released a studio recording “It’s You I Like,” made her directorial debut with Shreveport Opera’s production of Il barbiere di Siviglia, returned to University of Southern Maine for an Artist Residency, and joined the vocal faculty of the Taos Opera Institute. She continued as Executive Director of the Creede Musical Arts Collective where she directed A Celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein. She finished the summer as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly at the Grand Teton Festival.
