Rock the Runway: Amped combines fashion and the arts in a symphony of creativity and expression
Pensacola, FL — [Oct. 15, 2025] — Pensacola Opera is once again lighting up the runway with our premier musical fashion fusion event, Rock the Runway. This year’s event is sponsored by and a part of the 2025 Foo Foo Festival allowing us to crank up the volume to present Rock the Runway: Amped, taking place on Wednesday, November 5th at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre.
While Pensacola Opera is known for presenting exceptional operatic productions, this event is like no other performance we’ve ever presented at the Saenger Theatre. For the first time ever, Pensacola Opera will partner up with local favorite, White Tie Rock Ensemble, performing some of their biggest hits while combining their electrifying reputation with a classical, operatic flair. They will set the stage for a fashion show featuring 60+ local personalities who will strut their stuff in looks curated by local boutiques and inspired by beloved opera characters.
Participating local boutiques and stores, including S&K Boutique, Dillard’s, Drift Boutique, Hemline, SOBO Boutique, and Bridal Suite will bring high style to the stage. These curated looks are inspired by some of opera’s most beloved characters: the sparkling Adele from Die Fledermaus, the timeless Cinderella, the seductive Don Giovanni, and the clever, cunning Musetta from La bohème, among others.
Eight models will take their turn in the spotlight wearing authentic opera costumes, masterfully designed by Glenn Breed of Wardrobe Witchery, with hair and makeup artistry by Makeup Wigstress Brittany Rappise. Jo Rich Beauty and Hair & Co. will complete the runway transformation for the remaining models, ensuring every look shines as brightly as the music.
