OVERTURE

Summer opera camp | see yourself on stage

OVERTURE is Pensacola Opera’s one-of-a-kind summer experience for students ages 8-13. Taking place July 17-22, this week-long day camp will teach children about the magic and excitement of live theatre by placing them right at the center of the action. From creating original sets and props to starring in all roles, campers will work together to present a fully staged and rehearsed 40-minute production of Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus, in anticipation of our mainstage production next season. A cohort of experienced music educators—along with special guest clinicians—lead children through this unforgettable, music-filled week.

Our 2023 Overture Opera Camp is at capacity, as of May 30. If you would like to add your child to a waitlist, in case we have any cancellations, email Bethany Elswick, Patron Services Manager.
