Whether you are a new or seasoned opera-goer, there are countless opportunities for students of all ages to learn more about this amazing art form. Through K-12 in-school performances, student dress rehearsals, community pop-up performances, and adult learning events, Pensacola Opera’s education and community engagement programs bring the joy of opera to more than 40,000 students and adults each year.
In Schools
Our education programs maintain a vibrant presence in schools throughout five counties in Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama. We are proud to bring free opera performances and learning opportunities directly to students through a variety of in-school and student exclusive offerings.
In the Community
Whether you’re experiencing a “flashmob” style pop-up performance at your favorite restaurant or taking a break at one of our Brown Bag Opera lunch programs, there is always a fun way to see opera in your community!
For Lifelong Learners
It’s never too late to learn more about opera and music! Join us for regular events such as pre-performance talks in the Saenger before each mainstage performance, in addition to special educational lectures and sessions like Opera University.
