Skopelos at New World Landing is taking a trip into the mystical world of the Amazon for Pensacola Opera’s annual fundraising event. This year’s Operazzi Ball is based around the production of the transformative opera “Florencia in the Amazon,” which had a successful showing at Saenger Theatre in March.
Pensacola Opera Executive Director Chandra McKern said each season the Operazzi Ball is themed after Pensacola Opera’s March production. “Our patrons love a great themed event,” she touted. Guests will enjoy a sit-down dinner, music by Reunion Band, and performances from this year’s Artists in Residence at the black-tie affair. McKern explained that the Operazzi Ball is her group’s largest fundraiser of the year and a major source of support for our education and artistic programs.
